I’m only leaving because my boyfriend and I are moving in together and need a larger spot to accommodate two work-from home people with big setups. I can genuinely say this has been my favorite apartment in New York. It’s great for two people if one or both of you work outside of home, and it’s luxurious for one person. Heat and hot water included! I’ve had a great relationship with the landlady and her daughter. The neighbors are all really nice. The first floor neighbors are former roommates of mine who ended up joining me in this building! Great shops, restaurants, bars, thrifting, all right nearby. Multiple grocery stores and parks. There IS a New York apartment quirk—it only has one sink, which is just outside the bathroom. It’s been fine for me—I love the tiled bathroom with its mirrors. I got a Scandinavian style dish rack, and there was always plenty space for both dishes and toiletries. For $1900 in Greenpoint, though? It’s been a steal.
